Resilience is Vulnerability Poster + Animation
This project received the silver merit award in Auburn University’s Student Juried Show.

Cross-promotional piece of advertising employs both a print and motion component on a subject that is a combination of art and science.
The subject of this project is Greenpeace’s Protect the Arctic campaign. The arctic will melt before our eyes at the current rate of environmental destruction. This poster and animation is a means of raising awareness for the cause and inspiring action.
-
I employed the use of negative space to serve as a communicator of what is to be if we do not act to save the arctic. The focal point is the abstracted glacier shapes filled with photography from Roger Fishman’s Ephemeral & Eternal: Greenland - Part 1 collection. Lastly the call to action and information at bottom of poster.

Adobe Illustrator and After Effects
The animation paired with the poster is twenty seconds long. The objective of the motion is to convey a sense of urgency and “death” of the arctic glaciers.
The animation can be seen in person using the Artivive app, where you scan the poster and it comes to life.
